Hey, did you remember that Viacom is in the business of social networks? Their pseudo-white label social network Flux is still going strong, and has today announced support for Google’s OpenSocial. The Flux Developer Blog now indicates that their implementation package should be ‘coming soon.’
The network is of significant size, but Flux is still in an early growth phase. Nonetheless, they were conspicuously absent from the OpenSocial launch that included MySpace, Bebo, Orkut, LinkedIn and just about every single social network name but Facebook in their launch partner list.

In addition, MySpace unveiled its Developer Platform today, which uses the OpenSocial APIs to give developers the capability to run their applications on MySpace or any other “container” that supports OpenSocial. MySpace has added extensions that access friend lists and retrieve data available on public profiles if users grant permission to share the data.
